This is my first blog post on June ever! So exciting. It’s also a first step in the right direction to my new editorial-goals. Oh Lombok how you charmed me with your beautiful green scenery, sunset and waterfalls !!! It was a direct 2 hours flight from Jakarta to Lombok, with Getlost Magazine, My friends & I had the best time.
We stayed for 2 days and 1 night, at the Novotel. After landed we explore the beach, having coconut and searching for the best spot for surfing and have magical sunset at Selong Belanak Beach, South Lombok the end the day.
The following days we get up earlier to catch up our boat to across Gili Trawangan Island approximately 15 minutes (sailing) from Sengigi Beach. Gili Trawangan is the largest of the three islands that make up “The Gilis”, also consisting of Gili Air, Gili Meno. Gili Trawangan, itself is a car and motorbike free island. You can walk, you can ride a bike or take a cidomo (horse-cart). We stayed for 1 night at Villa Ombak, Gili Trawangan and right away snorkeling and i’m so lucky to meet mr. Turtle.
The next day we were back to Lombok Island. My friends and I were so excited as it was sunny day and we had waiting for it. We went to Sendang Gile and Tie Kelep Waterfalls which are located at the foot of mount Rinjani so we have to tracking down hundreds of stairs. We did’t check the situation before: We went on a Sunday where it’s very busy and crowded had to wait until these people away and least crowded which are pictured above. My recommendation would be to go on weekday at sunny day and bring a pair of clothes cos it’s gonna be wet.
Other than the typical tourist attractions, we spent the holiday to get adrenalin rush in the sun, hiking and waterfalls. but it was exactly what i needed to wrap up the very interesting and I have planning hiking to mount Rinjani this year. Big thanks to Getlost Magazine for joining me on such a fun trip and helping with photos! As well Ipe and Ipung who were very kind with experiences & accommodations. I look forward to visiting again very soon.
Hope you like the post and as always, I would love to hear your thoughts on the outfit, the editing, anything! fire away.
